Kim wanted to make the most of her outdoor space, transforming it into something special that everyone could enjoy. With a relatively blank canvas to work with, she chose WoodBlocX to help turn her vision into reality.
Kim’s raised bed garden
The garden featured modern grey decking, with turf covering the remainder of the space. Kim already had raised beds running around the garden borders but wanted to enhance these and incorporate additional planting areas as part of a complete garden redesign.
Planning the Garden
When planning the garden, it was important for Kim to make use of WoodBlocX in various areas of the garden. Looking to complete a full garden transformation, Kim chose various different sizes of raised beds, a raised pond and a bespoke planter bench to add the finishing touches to the garden.

Preparation and building
When building with WoodBlocX, getting the foundations right is an important first step. The ground should level before construction begins, as this helps ensure the structure remains straight, stable and properly aligned throughout the build. Once the area had been prepared and levelled, Kim was ready to begin building the first of her WoodBlocX kits. Following the step-by-step instructions supplied with the design, the BlocX were laid out and assembled layer by layer to start bringing the new garden layout to life.
As Kim’s WoodBlocX structures were being installed on soft ground, ground spikes were supplied to help securely anchor the builds in position. WoodBlocX is incredibly versatile and can also be installed on a variety of hard surfaces, including concrete, patios and tarmac, making it suitable for many different garden spaces.

What a wonderful transformation! Kim began by enhancing the existing decking to complement the distinctive style of WoodBlocX. Complete with modern capping, the finished garden now provides Kim and her family with plenty of space to grow a variety of flowers and plants, unwind on their bespoke seating and enjoy the calming sounds of water from the raised pond.
