We created bespoke planters and a seating area for this lucky primary school
Preparation and building
As the pupils were building the structures on a solid and level base there was no additional work needed in terms of preparation. They simply needed to follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
WoodBlocX is perfect for getting children involved in as there is absolutely no cutting needed, there's no drilling or special tools needed and all parts are lightweight, the only tool needed to build is a mallet. Adult supervision is always required.
Filling and planting
This school opted for ornamental plants is a green, purple and white colour scheme. The children helped with all aspects of the filling of the different planters and enjoyed learning about the different types of plants as they were planted.
The finished design
This design included five core structures with the front three planters being linked together using two archways.
- A bespoke U-Shaped planter bench
- Two slim planters
- A large tiered planter bench with seating on both sides
- A large slim planter bench with a central area and seating nestled in each of the return walls
