Planning the playground
Beaucroft Foundation School in Wimborne, Dorset has recently enhanced its playground with a series of WoodBlocX raised planters and seats.
We created bespoke designs for eight different raised planters, including large circular planters and L-shaped and straight planter benches with curved edges for the large tarmaced area for the school to add plants and trees to help bring colour and improved the overall appearance of the playground.
Building with WoodBlocX
Our modular kits can be built on all surfaces including soil, grass and hard surfaces like paving, concrete, and in this case tarmac. Each kit is built in the same way and step-by-step instructions are provided. There is absolutely no cutting, screwing or sawing needed and you don't need any technical skills to build so it is perfect for getting children and parents involved int eh building!
Each of the planters a Beaucroft Foundation School have been finished with our tradition capping which has a slight over-hang, and is our most popular option, and fully lined inside to protect the wood and ensure the planters have a long life-span.
The finished playground
The circular raised planters and natural wood and fresh planting have helped to enhance Beaucroft's playground significantly. Pupils can sit close to the plants and play games between the planters.
The planter bench designs provide plenty of seating, with the L-shaped design wrapping around a fenced area to make use of the space. Each features subtle curved edges to soften the design.
